Shineh Kim Yoon is a nationally recognized art educator, Mom, Artist and Director/Teacher at Shineh Art Studio, LLC. She specializes in fine art, currently lives and works in the Washington DC Metropolitan area where she teaches visual arts to students in grades K-12th to college transfers. Shineh's love of art started at a very young age. Shortly after she immigrated from South Korea at age 15 she was recognized as Maryland's Emerging Young Artist from MAEA (Maryland Art Education Association). She attended MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) specializing in the field of Illustration, receiving a scholarship for her artistic achievement as a finalist in the Maryland Distinguished Scholars Program.
In 2003, Shineh established Shineh Art Studio, LLC, driven by her aspiration to share her knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience with the next generation of young artists. She is a three-time nationally recognized art educator from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

Shineh is wholeheartedly devoted to providing exceptional, personalized instruction. She leads every class, emphasizing a hands-on approach. Her pride and joy stem from the fact that she has personally instructed and knows each student since the studio's founding. This unique approach allows her to truly understand each student on a personal level and identify their strengths in art, enabling tailored and individualized learning experiences.

Many of her students have continually achieved national, region at large, and local recognitions and have been admitted to prestigious art colleges and universities with excellent art programs such as Rhode Island School of Design, Maryland Institute College of Art, Pratt, Parsons, School of Visual Arts, University of California-Berkeley, University of Maryland, Columbia University, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Upenn, Carnegie Mellon, Ringling College of Art + Design, Virginia Commonwealth University, Cornell University, Duke University, Yale University and many more.
